Apple Creates New Website to Help You Get the Most Out of Your iPhone

Iphone-your_life_site

Apple has created a new website to help users maximize their use of the iPhone.  The website, iPhone Your Life, enables users to learn about new apps, use their iPhone as an around-the-town guide for tracking down restaurants, movies and other things to do, and assists you in your travels with language and mapping apps and more.

Sections of the website show users how to increase productivity at work and at home, as well as learn about gaming apps to keep you amused 24/7.  The site's "Tips and Tricks" section helps users make the most of their iPhone's features by explaining all the subtleties of every app.

No matter how much you think you know about your iPhone, you will learn something new here.

Need to check your email, bank account, and cell phone minutes?  You can manage all of your personal accounts at once with A Personal Assistant by Pageonce.  Simply enter your required login information, and you should be able to check your accounts, on-the-go and hassle free,

Features
  • Manage accounts on Netflix, Wells Fargo, Southwest Airlines, Myspace, and more
  • Should you lose your iPhone, you can disable your account at pageonce.com to keep your personal information out of sight of prying eyes
  • Registering your device's serial number ensures that only your device can access your data

Limitations
  • Those who are reticent (and with good reason) to input their passwords and personal information on a third-party device may want to avoid this App
  • Accounts are not updated automatically as often as desired
  • Some accounts are more compatible with this App than others

Summary

A Personal Assistant has a good concept--an all-in-one hot spot for your personal accounts.  However, it's not in the best interest of security to relegate all of your most important information to a third-party App, regardless of how highly-touted the security system is on behalf of the developer.

Can We Talk? Google Mobile Can!

Google has upped the handset-search-engine ante with its latest release of Google Mobile App.  By adding speech recognition, you can initiate searches with nothing more than your voice.  The above video shows just how easy this is.

Another new feature is "My Location," which lets you search for business, weather, and movie information without specifying where you are.

The app also features keystroke-saving suggestions for keyword, URL, and map searching, a search history, and easy access to other Google products like Map, Gmail, and News.

Best of all, the app is absolutely free.  Just tap on the App Store icon on your iPhone and search for 'Google Mobile App' to get started, or visit the iTunes store.
