Dean (of Dean and Ying's Blog) wanted a desktop stand for his iPhone which would allow him to watch movies hands-free.  After several paper- and cardboard-based prototypes failed, Dean got the bright idea to fashion a sturdy metal stand, using nothing more than a garden-variety jumbo paper clip.  He not only offers the above video primer, but a downloadable PDF with exact measurements as to where to bend the paper clip in question.
