Legitimate VOIP Calls from Your iPhone

Fringland

Fring VOIP and universal IM application has been released today.
Some of you may have used Fring on the jailbroken phones prior to 2.0 Update.

Let's take Fring for a spin

If you do not have an account with Fring, account creation process is extremely simple and email verification is not required.

Keep in mind that you have to be on a WIFI network to make VOIP calls, good news for iPod Touch owners since they can use their device to make calls.

From call panel you can make SIP, Cellular and Skype Out calls.

If you would like to test VOIP but lazy to set-up SIP or Skype Out accounts you can use "fring test call" option.

Just go to the Buddy List Icon and Select "fring test call".

When you make a test call, operator will ask you to record a test message, which you can hear back.  Call quality was superb, but we did not test it with SIP or Skype Out (we will report our test results later)

It is unfortunate but you cannot select speakerphone option when you are making a call.
