uXM iPhone Beta Released!
Update: Click here to read how to stream Sirius Radio on your iPhone.
Millard Software has released uXM beta v .53 for for iPhone and iPod Touch today.
The application is for jailbroken iphones and allows you to enjoy XM Satellite Radio on your iPhone or iPod Touch as long as you have firmware version 1.1.4.
An XM subscription is obviously required.
Millard also noted that there are still a few bugs being worked out, such as some channel logos not loading and the stream sometimes quitting after 30 minutes.
However, this will definitely get you through until July 11th when XM releases their official iPhone app in the App Store.
To Download:
Note: Your iPhone must be jailbroken.
- uXM is located in the iSpazio repository.
- Or, you can add the following repository to your Installer.app:
Select uXM - iPhone edition from the Multimedia Section.

okay, this makes it worth while.
The radio in the car thing was great when I spent so much time driving in the 80-90's but recently, I'm slow mobile(bikes, foot, in the office) so this reallly helps, good work! (now if we can make it run in the background? : )

Has anyone tried this type of streaming while mobile in a car? It seems to have a pretty decent buffer, but I imagine there's quite a bit of network drop-outs and hand-offs while driving. This app + an iTunes catalog on my iPhone makes a portable XM receiver very unnecessary.
