Belkin's been around for a while, and has definitely made their share of cell phone cases.
These leather iPhone 3G cases, however, aren't their most appealing product.

However, the fit might be not as snug due to the slightly curved back on the 3G. Also note that these cases haven't actually been released and reviewed by the heavy hand of the public, so we can't recommend any specific cases just yet.
And from your "original" iPhone experience, you already know that it takes a few tries to find the perfect fit.

invisible shield for the back or using it as a case is a rip off but as a screen protector it works ok.

What about a case with a slot to carry a bluetooth headset? Do any exist? I have a G3 iPhone and apple headset. The headset is nice and small for your ear but also nice and small to lose.

josh, in regards to the invisibleshield, if you're looking for a screen scratch protector then Mr Len is right, it's 'OK' but totally overpriced. i applied the screen and back cover film and it stayed on my phone for about 3 minutes.....why buy one of the most important pieces of technology of the last decade, for design and functionality, and then cover it in cling film (seran wrap)....it looks cheap yet costs alot.....go figure!
